Hi, I’m Rachel! Storytelling has always been at the center of my work—from broadcast news to nonprofit communications. The Mitten’s Mirror allows me to continue sharing the people and places that shape Michigan’s heart. Based in Traverse City, I tell stories from across the state, guided by a deep love for people and for the Mitten.
The Two Sides of The Mitten’s Mirror
1. The Mitten’s Mirror began as a passion project on social media, sharing the unique stories of Michigan across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Created and curated by Rachel, a former news anchor, the project recognizes that today’s audiences aren’t always tuning in at 5 p.m.—they’re scrolling. By meeting people where they are, The Mitten’s Mirror makes it easy and accessible to discover the hidden gems that make Michigan special.
2. In addition to creating original storytelling content, Rachel partners with businesses and entrepreneurs across Michigan to help them grow their social media presence. Through intentional, thoughtfully curated content, she helps brands increase awareness, connect with larger audiences, and drive meaningful growth.
